TREND ALERT: Studded Flats

Flat shoes, without a doubt, are truly an iconic staple of our wardrobe. Why wouldn’t they be? They’re perfect for almost every occasion as they work with all kinds of outfit. Plus, you really can’t beat the comfort.

Although, we have to admit, they can be boring at times. But fear not! Because if you’ve noticed, a new breed of flats has been trending, and it’s a great twist our beloved classic footwear: studded flats.

Studded flats have become a very popular trend for a while now. I swear, everywhere I go, I would spot some stylish chick rocking them with all kinds of ensembles—mini dresses, skinny jeans and chic shirts, shorts and tanks. The studs are the perfect way to add a punch to the usually plainness of ballet flats and so when worn, they make a simple outfit stands out more. Studded flats really are an effortless way to embellish your wardrobe.

The Toe Cap Shoe

Jacobs for Louis Vuitton, shoes with toe cap are everywhere to be seen. When celebrities started wearing them, from crossing the street to red carpet events, designer and high street labels follow suit.

The toe cap can be on the tip of flats or heels, but the super popular one remains the toe cap pumps. This retro-inspired style is fun and gives a pop of color to the outfit. The “cap” is usually in a color that contrasts the rest of the shoe. Metallic hues, like gold, silver and pewter, are super hot – adds the bling factor, looking extra glamorous.

Heidi Klum and her long legs in Christian Louboutin pumps; Kristin Stewart looking sexy and mature in this dark print dress and cream Louis Vuitton toe cap; Rocking androgyny look, Gwyneth Paltrowwears Louis Vuitton from head to toe; Sarah Jessica Parker in her usual chic-self in this black and silver-toe cap heels.

 

Beyonce in a cheerful pair of Christian Louboutin; Jessica Alba, apparently a fan of toe-caps as she is numerously snapped wearing this style, is in white-toe cap Giuseppe Zanotti; one of the earliest supermodels Naomi Campbell looking as svelte as ever in ankle-strap Christian Louboutin; controversial bombshell Megan Fox is seen wearing Yves Saint Laurent in ‘Friends With Kids’ premiere at New York City.

Now, let’s move on to the high street labels… I am in love with the high-street version of the shoe, as they are no less colorful, fun and fierce as its designer counterpart!

HEAD OVER HEELS: PRINTED SHOES

 

Super bright and in-your-face heels? Why the heck not?

Printed shoes are fashion statement. You may be dressed in plain white T-shirt and a pair of dark jeans. But slip on one of these babies, and you still can draw attention (the good kind!). Printed shoes instantly adds a cheerful mood and add boost to your overall outfit. They are versatile too. For a more laid back approach, pair them with casual outfit. For evening, they add some colors to your solid-colored dresses. To make the whole getup more balanced, I would probably not pair them with busy-motif dresses.

Trend Sepatu 2013?

APA TREND SEPATU 2013 YAH? Coba deh simak sebentar.. Vintageous bakal share nih, ladies 😀

Bosan dengan model sepatu open-toe ankle booties, oxfords, round-toe retro pumps, gladiator sandals, sky high heels?

Mungkin sekarang saatnya beralih kembali ke model sepatu klasik -> Penny-Loafers.
